Police Seek Suspect Wanted for Multiple Robberies in New York City

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a series of robberies that occurred on July 13.

In the first incident, a 52-year-old man in a wheelchair was robbed outside a commercial establishment located at 3433 3rd Avenue. The perpetrator displayed a firearm, demanded the victim’s property, and fled the scene with the victim’s cell phone and wallet.

The second incident occurred shortly thereafter, when a 27-year-old woman was similarly threatened at the intersection of Melrose Avenue and East 161 Street.

The perpetrator took the victim’s purse containing keys, identification documents, and a credit card, then made charges of around $65 using the stolen card.

Individuals with any information about these robberies are asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit their tips online at the Crime Stoppers website.
