Shooting in Times Square Leaves Three Teenagers Injured

MANHATTAN, NY – Late Monday night, Times Square, despite its “gun-free zone” status, was the scene of a shooting.

The New York Police Department reported that a gunman, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a brown backpack, shot three teenage boys just before the stroke of midnight.

The incident took place near 5 Times Square, outside of a Red Lobster. The three victims, aged 15, 17, and 18, sustained injuries.

The youngest and oldest were hit in their legs, while the 17-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his arm. According to police, all three teenagers are expected to recover.

The NYPD stated that the shooting seemed to follow an argument. The gunman, as of now, is still on the loose. The police are asking anyone with information to come forward to help with the ongoing investigation.
