Son Shot Father, Sheriff’s Office Reports

POLK COUNTY, NC – Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday.

The response was triggered by a call reporting gunfire on Fox Mountain Road at around 11:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered one individual deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim has since been identified as Robert “Bo” Forney.

Witness testimonies indicated that Forney had engaged in a dispute with his son, Qualon Sutton, earlier in the day.

After a comprehensive investigation, Sutton was charged with first-degree murder and taken into custody near his mother’s residence at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Monday.
