HEBRON, MD – On Tuesday, three teenagers were arrested in Hebron, MD, after an alleged armed robbery attempt.

The accused are Jacob Bennett Hughes, 16, Chayse William Pugh, 17, both from Mardela Springs, MD, and a 15-year-old from Hebron, MD.

At approximately 11:35 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a parking lot in the 200 block of N. Main St, Hebron, following reports of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, they met with the victim, a local worker, who reported that he was assaulted by the three suspects while working in the parking lot.

The assailants attempted to take the worker’s truck and additional property. A handgun was reportedly brandished during the incident. However, the suspects were unable to make a successful getaway due to their inability to operate the truck’s manual transmission.

The suspects are now in custody, and anyone with further information relating to this incident is asked to contact the local police department.
