65-Year-Old Woman Attacked, Punched in Face on NYC Subway Train

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify an individual connected with an assault incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 11.

According to the report, the incident took place around 4:13 am, onboard a southbound Q train nearing the Newkirk Plaza train station.

The victim, a 65-year-old woman, got into a dispute with an unknown person. The suspect proceeded to attack the victim, punching her face, throwing her to the ground, and kicking her repeatedly.

The perpetrator fled northbound on East 16 Street and the victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male around 35 to 40 years old, approximately 5’6” tall with a medium build. He was last spotted wearing a hat, a black sweatshirt, and orange shorts.
