Attacker Targeting Elderly Women on Brooklyn Q Train

NEW YORK, NY – A male suspect has been identified for at least two attacks against elderly women aboard the Brooklyn Q train in recent weeks.

On Monday, June 12, at approximately 12:25 PM, a 74-year-old female victim was seated aboard a northbound Q train when an unknown individual snatched her cell phone as the train entered the Avenue M station.

The suspect then fled out of the train car. Fortunately, the victim was not injured during the incident.

Then, on Wednesday, June 28, at approximately 12:05 PM, a 73-year-old female victim was seated aboard a northbound Q train approaching the same station when an unknown individual snatched her cell phone. Similar to the previous incident, the suspect fled out of the train car, and the victim remained uninjured.

The individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 25 to 35 years old, and has a medium build.
