Manhunt Underway After Knife Attack at Brooklyn Basketball Game

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection with an assault at Pier 2 Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The assault occurred on Tuesday, July 11, at around 8:30 pm.

According to reports, a 19-year-old male victim was playing basketball with a large group of males when a dispute escalated into violence.

The unidentified individual displayed a switchblade knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. He fled the park on Furman Street in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported by EMS to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
