Police investigating armed home invasion, stabbing in Rockville

ROCKVILLE, MD – Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery that took place on Monday, July 10, on Key West Avenue in Rockville. The public’s assistance is requested to help identify the suspects.

The victim, an adult male, was confronted by the suspects in his apartment complex parking garage around 1:25 a.m. They displayed handguns, announced a robbery, assaulted and stabbed him, and tied his hands with zip ties.

The victim was then forced into the suspects’ vehicle and compelled to give access to his apartment. The suspects fled with a safe containing cash and jewelry.

Officers who responded to the scene found the victim and transported him to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance footage reveals six suspects, all black males in their twenties, armed with handguns, and wearing black clothing.
