Second Suspect Arrested Deadly Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives with the New York City Police Department has arrested another suspect in a May murder case that too place in the Bronx.

On July 18, Luis Joyce, a 27-year-old male residing at 353 Fort Independence Street, Bronx, NY, was arrested and charged in connection with a homicide case.

The charges against Joyce include Murder, Manslaughter, and Criminal Possession of a Loaded Firearm. The investigation is ongoing.

On June 28, Arsenio Lopez, a 29-year-old male residing at 89 Porter Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, was arrested and charged in connection with thee case.

The charges against Lopez include Murder, Manslaughter, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The investigation is ongoing.

On Wednesday, May 17 at approximately 6:30 AM, police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot in front of 3470 Fort Independence Street, within the 50 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found an unconscious and unresponsive 27-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the chest.

The victim, identified as Jeremy Valencia, residing at 3628 Irwin Avenue, Bronx, was transported to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
