Chicago Man Charged with Carjacking

Chicago, Illinois – Raequan Dooley, a 23-year-old individual residing in the 9200 block of S. Dunbar Ave., was charged with one felony count of carjacking.

The charge was brought against him in Central Bond Court located at 2600 S. California on July 21.

Members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force apprehended Dooley on July 20, 2023, in the 5700 block of S. State St.

He was identified as the perpetrator responsible for forcibly taking a vehicle from a 40-year-old male victim on July 19, at approximately 10:00 p.m. The incident occurred in the 6900 block of S. Racine Ave. within the 7th District.

Following his arrest, Dooley was taken into custody and charged accordingly. As of now, no further details are available regarding the case.
