Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Life of Odenton Cyclist

ODENTON, MD – Adriana Yeslendy Suarez Saavedra, a 26-year-old Odenton resident, lost her life on Wednesday, following a hit-and-run crash.

Saavedra was cycling eastbound on Annapolis Road near Town Center Boulevard on July 8, around 5:30 am, when an unidentified vehicle struck her.

An unknowing passerby noticed Saavedra lying in the roadway and immediately alerted 911. Saavedra was rushed to an area hospital by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The perpetrator’s vehicle, however, fled the scene in an unspecified direction.

Saavedra succumbed to her injuries the same day. As of now, the Western District’s Traffic Safety Section is leading the investigation.
