Three Teens Arrested for Stolen Vehicle

WILMINGTON, DE – The Delaware State Police arrested Baron Wilmer, 18, Quadre Wright, 18, and a 17-year-old male from Wilmington, Delaware, for possession of stolen property on Thursday morning.

Troopers responded to reports of an abandoned vehicle at the intersection of Concord Pike and Silverside Road in Wilmington.

A silver Kia Sorrento, reported as stolen earlier that day from the jurisdiction of the Wilmington Police Department, was found abandoned on the road.

The suspects, who had initially fled the scene upon the arrival of the police, were found hiding nearby and were arrested without further issues. They face charges of Receiving Stolen Property, Conspiracy Second Degree, both felonies, and Resisting Arrest.

Wilmer was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $6,500 secured bond, Wright on a $3,500 secured bond, and the 17-year-old was committed to New Castle County Detention Center on a $14,000 cash bond.
