Woman Arrested for Brandishing Knife

CAMBRIDGE, MD – On Sunday, at approximately 5:40 pm, officers from the Cambridge Police Department arrived at the 600 block of Academy Street responding to reports of a disturbance.

After contacting the involved parties, Kimberly Dawn Yaap, a 58-year-old resident of Cambridge, was arrested.

The victim reported that Yaap brandished a knife, raising it above her head, and threatened to stab the victim who was in close proximity.

Yaap was charged with first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

She was processed and transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without bond.
