Drug Squad Arrests Two, Seize Two Guns in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Atlantic City Police Department’s patrolling in the Bungalow Park section resulted in the recovery of two handguns and the arrest of three individuals on Tuesday, at 7:56 p.m.

Detectives Alberto Valles and Christopher Dodson and Officers Brandon Bower and William Harned observed Xavier Leon Jr. engaging in a drug transaction with Joseph Hill and Shabria Cooper-Carter, all present in the 700 block of Wabash Avenue.

Leon Jr. was found carrying a bag of marijuana and a loaded handgun and was arrested without incident.

Further search of Hill’s and Cooper-Carter’s vehicle led to the discovery of 48 grams of marijuana and another handgun.

All three individuals have been charged accordingly and were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Further legal proceedings await the accused.
