Fatal Shooting In D.C. Leaves 27-Year-Old Man Dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 27-year-old man was shot and killed Friday afternoon in Southeast D.C. The shooting happened at the 600 Block of 46th Street.

Shortly before 5 pm, officers from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the location to investigate a shooting report. Police found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound in a residential building hallway. The victim was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

27-year-old Malik Haggans of Maryland was identified as the victim. No individuals have been arrested in relation to this homicide.
