Brooklyn Man Charged with Attempted Murder

BROOKLYN, NY – Aaron Vasquez, a 21-year-old Brooklyn resident, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.  His arrest took place on Monday, at around 7:10 AM.

The arrest followed an incident on Monday, July 10, when two unidentified individuals were involved in a dispute on the southbound L train platform at the 1st Avenue subway station.

During this dispute, a firearm was discharged, but no injuries were reported.

The New York City Police Department has released information regarding three persons of interest in connection with the incident.

Two males, both with medium complexions and medium builds, were last seen wearing black clothing. Additionally, a female, who was with one of the males at the time, is being sought. She is described as having a light complexion, a medium build, brown hair, and was last seen wearing black clothing and glasses.
