Escaped Prisoner Geraldo Rojas Captured by Yonkers Police Department

YONKERS, NY – After a 29-hour intensive search, the Yonkers Police Department has recently apprehended escaped prisoner Geraldo Rojas.

Rojas was located in the Bronx, NY, by the Yonkers Police Department’s Major Case Squad, Field Intelligence Division, and the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force.

Rojas was initially arrested for multiple robberies in Yonkers and booked on Friday.

Following a medical event on Saturday, he was transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital, from where he escaped custody in the early hours of Sunday.

The Yonkers Police Department reviewed surveillance footage to track Rojas’ escape route.
