Intruders Disrupted by Resident During Attempted Burglary in New York City

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying two individuals linked to a reported burglary.

The incident took place on Thursday, July 6, at about 12:18 pm.

The male and female perpetrators reportedly broke into a private dwelling at Kane Street and Court Street by forcing their way through the basement door. Once inside, they navigated through the basement and the first floor while rifling through drawers.

The 41-year-old female resident noticed the intruders on her home security camera, prompting her to call 911 and vacate the premises. The intruders fled on foot towards Court Street, and it appears no property was taken. The incident resulted in no reported injuries.

The New York City Police Department asked anyone with information about this incident to get in touch.
