Man Critically Injured In D.C. Shooting, Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, D.C. – An arrest has been made by detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department in connection with a shooting incident on Saturday night at the 500 block of Oklahoma Avenue in Northeast D.C, where a man sustained life-threatening injuries.

A call reporting a person with a firearm brought officers to the 500 Block of Oklahoma Avenue shortly after 9 pm. The officers swiftly arrested the suspect and seized the firearm as evidence. During the same intervention, they also discovered an adult male victim with gunshot wounds. The injured victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Subsequently, after thorough investigative work by the detectives, the suspect was charged with the shooting.

On Saturday, 36-year-old Tyrone Taylor was taken into custody and faces charges of Assault with Intent to Kill and carrying a Pistol Without a License.
