Man Faces Multiple Charges Following Domestic Assault in Hanover

HANOVER, PA – On Sunday, Sanchez-Rios was apprehended and handed over to the York County Sheriff’s Department after a domestic dispute on E. Walnut Street. The 300 block of the street was the scene of the incident.

Sanchez-Rios was accused of strangulation, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment. The specific charges against him include second-degree felony strangulation, second-degree felony aggravated assault, first-degree misdemeanor terroristic threats, second-degree misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment.

The case now lies with the York County Sheriff’s Department for further action.

The Hanover Police Department, which initially responded to the situation, asked anyone with pertinent information about the case to come forward.

Sanchez-Rios, as of the most recent report, is under the custody of the York County Sheriff’s Department.
