Staten Island Man Stabbed to Death

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Jonathan Winokur, a 38-year-old resident of Staten Island, was found stabbed and in grave condition at 12 Union Avenue on Sunday.

Around 10:44 pm, the Police Department responded to an emergency call about an ongoing assault.

 Winokur was discovered with multiple stab wounds and was promptly transported to Richmond University Medical Center. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

A 58-year-old male was detained at the scene as a person of interest. The investigation remains active as detectives continue to collect evidence and gather information. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
