AVONDALE, PA – Artemio Avila-Luna, a 30-year-old resident of Avondale, was arrested and faced multiple charges after instigating an aggressive confrontation last Wednesday, July 19.

At about 7:02 PM, officers responded to a vehicle accident in the 100 Block of Waterworks Drive, Kennett Square Borough.

The incident quickly escalated upon making contact with Avila-Luna, who displayed erratic and abnormal behavior. He was reported to have slurred speech, and his overly animated and manic actions suggested impairment.

The completion of standard field sobriety tests was obstructed due to Avila-Luna’s behavior.

Following resistance to arrest, officers finally managed to detain Avila-Luna and transport him to the Central Booking at Chester County Prison.

Charges, including Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats, Resisting Arrest, and DUI, among others, were filed at District Court 15-3-04. The case now awaits a preliminary hearing.
