Bronx Man Charged in Deadly Murder, Illegal Gun Found

BRONX, NY – Following an ongoing investigation, Paulin Utshudi, a 32-year-old man from Hope Well Junction, NY, was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and illegal possession of a firearm.

The arrest took place on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Denzel Plummer, a 28-year-old resident of East 161 Street, Bronx, was discovered with a gunshot wound to his torso on Friday, July 14.

Police had responded to a 911 call at 281 East 161 Street. Plummer was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.

The case remains under investigation.
