Felon Gives Up After Tense Standoff With Police

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Late on Monday, Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers arrested a wanted felon, 32-year-old Trevor Crawford, after a tense overnight standoff.

Crawford, who was trying to leave the 500 block of 18th Street in a stolen vehicle, defied officers’ instructions, displayed a firearm, threatened to shoot, and retreated into his residence.

Following unsuccessful attempts to coax Crawford out of his residence, VBPD’s SWAT Team took over.

The SWAT team entered the apartment and arrested Crawford without incident early Tuesday morning.

Stephanie Davis, 30, also of Virginia Beach, was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice, with further charges pending.
