Foresthill Gets Life without Parole for Vicious Attack on Child

AUBURN, CA – Jeremy Wilson, a 30-year-old man from Foresthill, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole on Thursday, for the crimes of torture and aggravated sexual assault of a two-year-old child.

The Honorable Judge Jones handed down the sentence in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

In February 2020, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault on a two-and-a-half-year-old boy in Foresthill. The child had been assaulted, drugged, and violated in his own home by Wilson, the boyfriend of the child’s mother.

The gravity of the crime was evident from the victim statements read during the sentencing, and the judge acknowledged the severity of Wilson’s actions, describing them as “indescribable”, “disgusting, violent, callous and cruel”.

Given the extreme nature of the crime, the judge concluded that the maximum sentence was appropriate for Wilson.
