Seaford Teen Busted for Burglaries

SEAFORD, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 18-year-old Ryan Howell of Seaford, Delaware on multiple charges following an investigation into several thefts and burglaries on July 13.

Troopers had responded early that morning to residences on Chipmans Chase Drive and Fire Tower Road in Laurel. The investigation revealed that two suspects had trespassed onto six different properties and stolen from eight victims.

Among the stolen items were a wallet, several credit and debit cards, a BB gun, video cameras, and a bicycle. The investigation was assumed by detectives from the Troop 4 Property Crimes Unit, who identified Ryan Howell as one of the suspects.

On Wednesday, Howell turned himself in to Troop 4 detectives at Seaford Police Department. Howell was charged with numerous crimes, including third-degree burglary, attempted theft under $1,500 where a victim is 62 years of age or older, conspiracy, and criminal trespass.

Howell was released on his own recognizance following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2.
