Teen Arrested for Shooting At Large Party at Local Soccer field

DOVER, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 19-year-old Demetrice Hill of Dover on gun offenses on Thursday.

This follows a shooting incident that took place on July 2, during a large party at a soccer field on Lewis Drive.

During the incident, a 30-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound, and two vehicles were hit by gunfire. Investigations identified Hill as one of the suspects involved in the shooting.

On Thursday, Detectives contacted Hill at his residence and executed a search warrant. He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 21 and Carrying a Concealed Firearm, both felonies.

Hill has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $45,000 cash bond.
