Two Arrests in Connection with Deadly Shooting in Queens

QUEENS, NY – In an ongoing investigation, Ashram Lochan, 29, from Queens, NY, and Jovan Young, 29, also from Queens, have been arrested and charged by the New York City Police Department.

On Thursday, Lochan was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.

Similarly, Young has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, relating to an incident that occurred on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

On the mentioned day, around 9:33 pm, officers were dispatched following reports of a shooting at 342 Beach 45 Street. Upon arrival, they found a 10-year-old boy, identified as Justin Wallace, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his torso. Alongside him was a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. However, Justin Wallace did not survive his injuries. The 29-year-old male is in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
