TOWSON, MD – The excitement is building as the Mega Millions jackpot keeps growing, and Maryland has been lucky to produce multiple second-tier and third-tier prize winners! In Tuesday night’s drawing, a $1 million second-tier winning ticket and a $40,000 third-tier winning ticket were sold in the state.

If you played, make sure to check your tickets against the winning numbers: 3, 5, 6, 44, and 61, with the Mega Ball number being 25. Additionally, there was an optional Megaplier number of X4. Second-tier winners match all five numbers correctly but miss the Mega Ball, while third-tier winners match four numbers along with the Mega Ball.

The $1 million winning ticket was purchased at Pine Liquors, located at 9231 Oxon Hill Road in Fort Washington, Prince George’s County. The retailer will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery for its role in the sale. This marks the third second-tier winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Maryland since the jackpot was last hit on April 18. Among those prizes, ranging from $1 million to $4 million, two remain unclaimed.

A $40,000-winning ticket with Megaplier was sold at Giant #353 on 8100 Loch Raven Boulevard in Towson. For an additional $1, players have the option to add the Megaplier feature to their tickets. In this specific drawing, the Megaplier number was X4, causing the original $10,000 third-tier prize to quadruple to $40,000. Maryland has seen 18 third-tier prize winners since the jackpot roll began, with seven of those tickets still unclaimed.

With no top-prize winners in the recent drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot now stands at an estimated annuity of $910 million for the upcoming Friday, July 28 drawing, with an estimated cash option of $464.2 million. This jackpot ranks as the fifth-largest in the game’s history and the eighth largest in U.S. lottery history. As the excitement builds, eager players are awaiting the next drawing in hopes of capturing the incredible jackpot.
