81-Year-Old Woman Robbed While Loading Groceries

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for public assistance in identifying an individual believed to be involved in an assault incident that occurred last Friday.

The incident happened around 10:14 am at 46-02 Greenpoint Avenue.

An unknown individual reportedly approached an 81-year-old woman as she was loading groceries into her car. The suspect took items from the vehicle belonging to the victim.

The victim attempted to retain her belongings but was unsuccessful. Following the theft, the individual reportedly fled the scene heading south on 46 Street.

The victim received minor injuries during the encounter and was treated at the scene by Emergency Medical Services. The police department is asking anyone with information concerning this incident to come forward.
