Elderly Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public help to identify an individual involved in a daylight robbery on Sunday, June 18.

At around 5:00 am, a 69-year-old man was confronted by an unidentified person while opening a parking garage at FDR Drive and East 30 Street.The man reportedly simulated a firearm in his waistband and demanded property.

He successfully made off with the victim’s wallet, containing identification documents, around $160 in cash, and various credit cards.

The suspect escaped on foot and the direction of his retreat remains unknown. Neither the garage nor the victim sustained further damage or injury.

The New York City Police Department asked anyone with information related to this crime to come forward.
