Man Robbed on NYC Subway Train

QUEENS, NY – Manuel Torres, a 34-year-old resident of 92-01 Lamont Avenue, was arrested and charged with robbery last Saturday at 2:05 pm.

The arrest follows an ongoing investigation by the New York City Police Department.

The incident happened on Friday, July 21, at approximately 5:25 pm at the 14 Street MTA ‘4’ train station.

According to reports, an individual approached a 33-year-old male victim from behind, snatched the chain from his neck, and ran off. The victim pursued the suspect in an attempt to retrieve his property but was threatened with a knife. The suspect then fled east on East 15 Street.

The victim sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention. The police are still asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline.
