NYPD Makes Arrest in Tripe Fatal Crash in Queens

QUEENS, NY – After a prolonged investigation, the New York City Police Department made an arrest in connection with a fatal accident that occurred on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

Adama Diakite, a 27-year-old male resident of 63 Arlington Avenue, Brooklyn, was arrested on last Monday, at approximately 9:30 AM.

The initial incident happened at the intersection of North Conduit Avenue and 122nd Street. Officers responded to a 911 call at around 3:52 AM to find that a Nissan Altima had crashed into a tree.

Three passengers in the vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene. These individuals have been identified as 21-year-old Ali Mohammed, 20-year-old Kimani Foster, and 19-year-old Dior Berkeley, all residents of Brooklyn.

A fourth passenger, a 24-year-old male, was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition. Diakite is facing three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, with the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation squad leading the inquiry.
