People walk by a CVS pharmacy store in Manhattan, New York City

GETTYSBURG, PA – A robbery incident that took place on Monday, July 25, is currently being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police Troop H – Gettysburg Station. The reported incident happened at approximately 7:00 pm at the CVS store located on York Road.

The suspect, a white male captured on surveillance footage, entered the store and knocked on an office door. The individual then displayed a handgun and robbed a store employee of approximately $2,000 while the employee was placing the currency into a safe. The suspect was clothed in a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants and wore a black wig concealed by a bucket hat.

After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene on foot, carrying the stolen cash, and headed towards a nearby Walmart parking lot. There, he got into a black Mustang with a second suspect, and the pair drove off, heading westbound on State Route 30.

The State Police report highlighted an unusual detail about the suspect: his hands bore distinctive features suggesting a possible skin condition or perhaps a substance such as lotion or powder.

The public is asked to reach out to PSP Gettysburg at (717) 334-8111 with any potentially helpful information, or to the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477). All callers’ identities remain anonymous, and information leading to an arrest could be rewarded with cash.
