Carjacking Attempt in Brooklyn Foiled by Police

BROOKLYN, NY – An attempted carjacking incident that occurred around 12:00 pm on Tuesday in the area of Thomas Avenue and Alley 13 was thwarted by police response.

According to the police, three juvenile females assaulted a woman and stole her keys. The suspects tried to take the victim’s vehicle but fled on foot after failing to start the car.

Officers located three subjects matching the suspects’ description in the 900 block of 1st Avenue.

Investigation confirmed that all three subjects were involved in the robbery. Upon searching the vicinity, officers found evidence related to the robbery.

It was also revealed that the suspects arrived in a white KIA SUV, reported as stolen earlier that day from a neighboring jurisdiction. The suspects were taken into custody and charged accordingly.
