LEWES, DE – The Delaware State Police arrested two minors, a 13-year-old boy from Lewes and a 16-year-old boy from Rehoboth Beach, along with 18-year-old Sean Rodgers and Tonia Perkins, both from Lewes, following the possession of a stolen motor vehicle and a subsequent foot pursuit on Monday evening.

At around 9:36 pm, a trooper spotted a silver Kia Soul, reported as stolen earlier that day, on Nassau Commons Boulevard.

A search operation led to the discovery of the Kia in Whispering Pines, occupied by two masked suspects who fled on foot after abandoning the vehicle. The 13-year-old was found hiding in a shed and was taken into custody without incident.

In the course of the operation, troopers interacted with Rodgers and Perkins at their residence, where the 16-year-old suspect was later found.

Both minors and Rodgers were taken into custody, while a warrant was issued for Perkins’ arrest.
