Two Men Arrested in Connection with Armed Robbery at Shrewsbury Subway

SHREWSBURY BOROUGH, PA – The Southern Regional Police Department has recently charged two individuals, Carnell Cummings, 26, and Kelly Washington Jr., 28, with various offences related to an armed robbery. The robbery took place at the Subway on Constitution Ave on July 13.

The two men, one with no fixed address and the other from Baltimore City, face charges of Robbery, Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Both Cummings and Washington Jr. are currently in the Baltimore County Detention Center, awaiting additional Maryland charges for Robbery and their extradition back to Pennsylvania.

The robbery happened at 18 Constitution Ave, New Freedom, PA 17349. The Southern Regional Police Department is requesting anyone with further information to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing as detectives continue their work to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the robbery.

Charges were officially filed against both individuals on Wednesday.
