NYPD Makes Arrest in July Slashing Murder

BROOKLYN, NY – An ongoing investigation led to the arrest of 38-year-old Roger Collado on Wednesday, in connection with a fatal stabbing incident.

On Tuesday, July 18, around 8:38 pm, police responded to a 911 call reporting a person stabbed at 340 Roebling Street.

Officers discovered a 36-year-old male, identified as Severiano Reyes, with a stab wound to the neck, a 45-year-old male with slash wounds to the neck and back, and a 27-year-old female with a slash wound to the wrist.

Mr. Reyes was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced deceased. The two other victims were taken to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Mr. Collado now faces charges of murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of assault.
