Suspect in Murder of West Windsor Woman During Home Invasion on the Loose

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A death investigation is underway in West Windsor Township following the discovery of a deceased woman at a local residence on Wednesday evening. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and West Windsor Police Department are leading the investigation.

Elaine Murray, 71, was found dead in her Galston Drive home shortly after 8 p.m. Police had been called to the residence after neighbors noticed signs of a break-in while checking on Murray, who lived alone.

Upon entry, officers discovered Murray’s body in a second-floor bedroom with visible injuries to her face, neck, and head.

There have been no arrests made in relation to this incident so far. The official cause of Murray’s death is still pending, with an autopsy being the determining factor. The investigation is ongoing.
