Woman Assaulted, Robbed Aboard G-Train

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Thursday, July 27, around 1:55 pm, a young woman of 23 became the target of an attempted robbery on a northbound G-train.

As the train neared the Bedford–Nostrand Avenues subway station, an unidentified female assailant tried to snatch the victim’s cellphone, but failed in her attempt.

After the unsuccessful theft, the unidentified woman proceeded to physically assault the victim, striking her in the head and pulling her hair. She then fled the scene at the Bedford–Nostrand Avenues subway station. The victim sustained minor injuries, declining medical attention at the scene.

The New York City Police Department has described the assailant as a medium-complexioned female, standing at 5’5” and weighing around 120 pounds.

She is distinguishable by multiple tattoos on her torso and was last spotted in a white sports top, dark jeans, and blue and white sneakers. The police ask anyone with relevant information to come forward.
