Woman Found Shot And Killed In Southwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman’s shooting death in Southwest D.C. yesterday morning is currently under investigation by detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch. The incident occurred at the Unit block of Forrester Street.

Responding to reports of gunfire at about 2:26 am, officers reached the location. There, they found an adult female victim who had been shot. Despite their immediate efforts, the victim could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have confirmed the identity of the deceased as Ebone Lavender, a 42-year-old woman from Southwest DC. Police are actively seeking a dark-colored Jeep believed to be linked to the shooting incident.
