Delaware State Police Seek Public Help in Hit-and-Run Case

WILMINGTON, DE – Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is asking to the public for assistance with an investigation into a hit-and-run incident that left one man critically injured.

The incident took place in Wilmington on Sunday, July 2.

At approximately 1:19 am, a 43-year-old man from Newark was hit by a white Nissan sedan while walking along N. Market Street.

The car fled the scene, leaving the victim in critical condition. The victim was transported to a nearby trauma hospital where he remains.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sergeant J. Jefferson at 302-365-8484. Information can also be provided via a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or by contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
