Serial Commercial Robbery Suspect Captured by Police

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On Friday, the Virginia Beach Police Department, in partnership with the Chesapeake Police Department, has successfully arrested 21-year-old Norfolk resident, Qahir Robinson.

Robinson was apprehended for committing robberies at three separate businesses across Virginia Beach.

From August 1 – 2, Robinson, armed with a firearm, demanded and acquired money from three businesses, using a stolen vehicle to flee the scenes.

The first robbery took place at a Cal’z Pizza on the evening of August 1, at 6:02 pm. Only a half hour later, at 6:36 pm, he robbed a Subway. The spree continued the next morning, at 6:00 am, when Robinson struck at a Dunkin’ Donuts and minutes later attempted a robbery at a McDonalds located in Chesapeake.

Robinson was apprehended following a foot pursuit by the Chesapeake Police Department. Charges against him include three counts each of Robbery, Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Wearing a Mask in a Public Place.
