House Fire Under Investigation in Manchester

MANCHESTER TWP., NJ – Late on Friday, at 11:47 pm, emergency response teams rushed to a house on fire at Birmingham Avenue in the Pine Lake Park district of the Township.

The sole occupant had already exited the fully engulfed residence, remaining unharmed. Nearby homes were evacuated by officers for safety.

Multiple volunteer fire companies arrived to assist, including Manchester, Ridgeway, Whiting, Toms River, and Silverton units.

Two firefighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were released after receiving medical care at Community Medical Center.

The American Red Cross was on site to support the homeowner. The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office, together with Detective Emmons of the Manchester Township Police Department Investigations Bureau, is currently probing the incident to determine the fire’s origin.
