Three Arrested in Stolen Car, Suspected in Local Burglaries

WHEATON AND SILVER SPRING, MD – On Thursday, officers flagged a stolen Kia Sol and found three suspects linked to a series of commercial burglaries in the Wheaton and Silver Spring locales.

Those suspects were involved in burglaries at Dunkin Donuts on University Blvd., Subway Sub Shop on Georgia Ave., and Kemp Mill Beer & Wine on Lamberton Dr.

The suspects, 18-year-olds Jefry Stevent Padilla-Sanchez of Silver Spring, Josue Membreno of Washington D.C., and Edward Canales with no fixed address, are in custody.

All face multiple counts of 2nd-degree burglary, theft ranging between $1,500 to $25,000, and auto theft-related offenses.

They are currently detained without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
