Teen Shot Multiple Times Dead In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – 19-year-old Andre Baker was shot multiple times and killed Saturday morning in Northwest, D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has announced an arrest has been made in his murder.

Just after 5 am, police on patrol heard gunshots at the 1200 Block of U Street. Officers searched the area and found Baker suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was unresponsive and not breathing when police arrived. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Broken glass from a bus station enclosure littered the area in front of the 13th and U Street Metro Station entrance, while approximately 31 shell case markers were strewn across the road.

20-year-old David Botchway of Maryland was arrested on Saturday and charged with First Degree Murder while armed.
