Thunderstorms Arrive Monday Evening Across Philadelphia Area

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Today, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 pm. Some of these storms could be severe. It will be partly sunny with a high temperature near 87 degrees. A south wind of around 10 mph will blow.

The chance of precipitation is 40%, and new rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are expected, with the possibility of higher amounts in thunderstorms.

Tonight, expect showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 pm. Some of these storms may be severe, bringing damaging winds and heavy rain

. Patchy fog is expected after midnight. The low temperature will be around 71 degrees, and a south wind of 5 to 10 mph will prevail. The chance of precipitation is 80%, and new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.

There might be patchy fog on Tuesday before 9 am, but the weather will be otherwise partly sunny. The high temperature will be near 82 degrees. A west wind of 10 to 15 mph will blow during the day.
