Two Arrested with Guns and Drugs in Newark

NEWARK, DE – The Delaware State Police conducted a traffic stop in Newark, which led to the arrest of two individuals, 24-year-old Damean Dunham from Wilmington, Delaware, and 23-year-old Vincent Williams-Kimble from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The arrest occurred yesterday afternoon after discovering that they had guns and drugs.

At approximately 1:12 p.m. on August 5, 2023, a trooper observed a 2008 silver Nissan Altima with multiple equipment violations traveling westbound on Churchmans Road near Geoffrey Drive in Newark.

Upon checking the registration, it was found that it expired in 2022. Subsequently, a traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, identified as Damean Dunham, and the front passenger, identified as Vincent Williams-Kimble, were contacted.

During a consensual search of the Nissan, two firearms and marijuana were recovered. Specifically, one of the firearms, reported as stolen from Nashville, Tennessee, and approximately 69.66 grams of marijuana were found in a black bag next to Williams-Kimble in the front passenger side compartment. Additionally, about 33.82 grams of marijuana were found in the center console, and the second firearm was discovered in a black backpack belonging to Dunham.

Both Dunham and Williams-Kimble were taken into custody without incident and brought to Troop 2.
