Attempted Robbery Leads to Shooting in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — An attempted armed robbery took a violent turn early Monday morning in north Charlotte, within the Townes at University apartment complex.

At around 5 a.m., when the victim resisted the robbery attempt, the suspect reportedly fired multiple shots.

The victim was struck once, resulting in minor injuries, and was transported to the hospital.

In addition to injuring the victim, two nearby unoccupied vehicles were also hit by gunfire.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
