CAMDEN, N.J. – U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced on Tuesday that Robert J. Moser, 31, of Mays Landing, New Jersey, has been charged with one count of possessing destructive devices.
He is due to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew J. Skahill in Camden federal court.
On March 17, law enforcement was summoned to Moser’s residence following a 911 call indicating a possible drug overdose.
Upon arrival, officers noticed several suspicious devices in Moser’s bedroom. Two of these devices were later confirmed as destructive. One contained explosive powder, metal ball bearings, and metal eye hooks, while the other contained explosive powder and metal dart tips.
The charge carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a fine amounting to $250,000. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, alongside other local departments, have been credited with the investigation leading up to Moser’s arrest.
